The Institute for Research on Marine Biological Resources (IRBIM) has always been committed to the dissemination of scientific culture, with particular attention to the marine world and its precious resources. Science must be accessible to everyone, from the youngest to adults; Its sharing, in fact, promotes greater awareness of the importance of research and the need to protect our marine environment. IRBIM's activities aimed at the non-expert public serve to stimulate curiosity and interest in scientific research, to raise public awareness of the importance of protecting the marine environment and finally to create a bridge between scientific research and society. This page is dedicated to IRBIM "citizen science" initiatives, i.e. scientific activity conducted with the participation of citizens, and also contains seminars to disseminate the activities that take place daily in the Institute's premises.
