The goal of this project is to develop a platform to host the Regional Database (RDB) of fishery data for the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea in order to make it more usable and facilitate the production of scientific assessments. In addition, the platform should facilitate the use of this information to meet the needs of fisheries management emphasized by the Common Fisheries Policy European and national contexts. The creation of this database is among the obligations required by the Data Collection Framework (DCF) and must be produced in consultation with the heads of the Regional Coordination Group (RCG), the European Commission, member states and the cooperation of end users such as research institutes, cooperatives, etc. involved in the DCF. Through this database, it will be possible to optimize sampling activities as well as the sharing of data collected within DCF, harmonizing the type and transparency of data collected among various business units, improving the quality of data and data and promoting its use.
