The Fisheries Innovation and Development Center (CISP) is a functional organizational space to develop and access innovation through the activation of thematic workshops and the development of Pilot/Demonstration Projects designed to pilot new and sustainable solutions useful for addressing challenges and opportunities in the blue economy. The action aims to support the development of a new way of working. In the labs, the research community, industry, and local stakeholders come together to implement innovative solutions and projects that support the competitive development of fisheries, aquaculture, and the blue economy, paying attention to the protection of marine resources and ecosystems.
The main purposes of CISP are: 1) the identification of logistical and organizational resources instrumental to the proper and effective operation of the center, 2) the establishment of the management, monitoring and control plan for the activities of the center itself, 3) The establishment of the work plan and identification of the subject areas pertaining to the workshops, 4) The establishment of a “Service Charter / Protocol of Agreement” that identifies the services offered, the activities carried out, and how to access and participate, 5) The formalization of appropriate agreements between FLAG Marche Centro and its members, for the management of activities. These points represent the key objectives of the start-up phase of the CISP and lay the foundation for the initiation of future activities, such as the establishment and management of five thematic laboratories necessary for the development of knowledge and skills of the various individuals involved in various capacities in the world of fisheries, the implementation of pilot projects and demonstration actions that will enable the valorization of the work performed within the CISP, and the dissemination of results and support for their transferability.
CISP is the first action implemented by the local action plan 2017-2020 Flag Marche Centro funded by the EMFF Italy 2014-2020 operational program.
