Fisheries and sustainable management of fishery resources
The “Fisheries and sustainable management of fishing resources” Working Group provides the Institute Management with technical-scientific support on the issue of fishing and the sustainable use of fished resources. It identifies the most qualified IRBIM CNR experts able to attend tables, technical and institutional events, in which the participation of competent scientific personnel of the Institute is requested. Evaluates and provides evidence-based scientific opinions on the subject of fishing to Bodies, Institutions and Associations. It develops, in concert with the Institute Council, strategies and scientific guidelines of the Institute towards sustainable fishing that is more respectful of the marine ecosystem.
