STM IRBIM 2025
Simulazione degli effetti di diversi scenari climatici futuri su popolazioni di specie gadoidi e confronto tra i sistemi Atlantico e Mediterraneo
Thanks to the Short Term Mobility Grant from IRBIM, Federico Calì was hosted by the Technical University of Denmark – National Institute of Aquatic Resources (DTU Aqua) in Denmark, where he studied the potential effects of global warming on fish species of commercial and ecological importance that prefer temperate and cold waters. During his stay, he deepened his knowledge of advanced statistical techniques for analyzing the spatial and temporal variations of fish populations, with the aim of producing long-term predictions of the effects of global warming in two areas with high warming rates — the Mediterranean Sea and the northeastern Atlantic — to support resource management policies that take into account the ongoing environmental changes.
