The fields of interest concern environmental remediation and marine depollution, biomonitoring and bioremediation, the study of microbial communities associated with polluted environments and chronic and acute pollution phenomena (to identify the microorganisms that offer greater application potential in bioremediation), the development of technologies and biotechnologies to be applied to bioremediation, and biosensing for the monitoring of specific compounds. Current research concerns the study of applications in industrial, agricultural and zootechnical fields of microbes of marine origin (also from extreme environments) for bioprocessing, the valorisation of waste from the fishery and aquaculture supply chain for the production of biomolecules of high value added for the production of nutraceuticals, supplements and new molecules with pharmaceutical action, and the identification of enzymes of microbial origin from natural samples (in-silico bioprospecting) useful for biotechnological applications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-10149","tema-dettagli","type-tema-dettagli","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tema-dettagli\/10149","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tema-dettagli"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/tema-dettagli"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=10149"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
