“Streamlining the establishment of regional work plans in the Mediterranean and Black Sea” is a project funded under the EU Call for Proposals MARE\/2020\/08 (Strengthening regional cooperation in the field of data collection), which aims to support projects that can promote and strengthen regional and EU cooperation in fisheries data collection. The overall objective of STREAMLINE is to draft Regional Work Plans (RWPs) for the Mediterranean and Black Sea related to specific issues through a co-creative work process with RCG Med&BS and member states. The specific issues that will be considered for RWP writing in the Mediterranean and Black Sea are as follows:
\n– commercial fisheries (including Small Scale Fisheries) with optimized sampling strategies;
\n– recreational fisheries sampling strategy;
\n– data collection on fish stomach contents;
\n– monitoring bycatch of vulnerable species.<\/p>\n
The STREAMLINE Consortium comprises a group of Research Institutes with scientific and technical capabilities to provide scientific advice and other services in support of the Common Fisheries Policy and the strengthening of regional cooperation in fisheries data collection in the Mediterranean and Black Sea.
