{"id":11415,"date":"2022-03-02T16:25:43","date_gmt":"2022-03-02T15:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/progetto-dettagli\/mupi\/"},"modified":"2022-12-18T22:43:35","modified_gmt":"2022-12-18T21:43:35","slug":"mupi","status":"publish","type":"progetto-dettagli","link":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/progetto-dettagli\/mupi\/","title":{"rendered":"MUPI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pagellus bogaraveo Br\u00fcnnich, 1768 is a bony fish of the family Sparidae, also known by the names bigeye, besugo, pezzogna, goggle-eye, mupo and rovello, although the various local names may cause confusion among the different species of pagellus. The species is regularly found in domestic markets and is the subject of semi-industrial, artisanal and sport fishing. Although Italian production of P. bogaraveo does not reach significant quantities per year overall, it can become significant in some fisheries, partly because of the high market value of this species. Information on the status of the resource in the Mediterranean is scarce and fragmentary. In the Italian seas, there is no information on the exploitation status of P. bogaraveo. It should be remembered that Reg. EC n. 1967\/2006 sets a minimum conservation size for this species of 33 cm LT, which is not always met. In this context, the project aims to achieve the following objectives in the smaller islands of Sicily:<br \/>\n&#8211; estimate the catch and corresponding effort of trawl, artisanal and recreational fisheries having P. bogaraveo as a target or bycatch species;<br \/>\n&#8211; to improve the current state of knowledge on the main biological parameters of the species such as, growth, mortality estimates (natural and fishing), reproductive period, gonado-somatic index, sexual inversion size, etc;<br \/>\n&#8211; develop a seasonal spatial distribution map of trawl effort, artisanal and recreational, having P. bogaraveo as a target or bycatch species;<br \/>\n&#8211; assess the status of the resource in the survey areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","project_program":[],"categoria_progetti":[],"class_list":["post-11415","progetto-dettagli","type-progetto-dettagli","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/progetto-dettagli\/11415","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/progetto-dettagli"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/progetto-dettagli"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=11415"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"project_program","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project_program?post=11415"},{"taxonomy":"categoria_progetti","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categoria_progetti?post=11415"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
