{"id":11405,"date":"2022-03-15T10:14:48","date_gmt":"2022-03-15T09:14:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/progetto-dettagli\/pharos4mpas\/"},"modified":"2022-12-16T18:22:11","modified_gmt":"2022-12-16T17:22:11","slug":"pharos4mpas","status":"publish","type":"progetto-dettagli","link":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/progetto-dettagli\/pharos4mpas\/","title":{"rendered":"PHAROS4MPAs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The PHAROS4MPAs project aims to improve the effectiveness of management and networking for Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in the Mediterranean in order to contribute to the conservation of marine biodiversity and ecosystems, taking into account the complex set of human activities developed under the blue growth perspective and their interaction with protected areas and marine ecosystems. To achieve this goal, PHAROS4MPA supports the implementation of EU maritime policies for sustainable management of human activities and protection of Mediterranean ecosystems, including the Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) Directive and MSFD, among others. Specifically, this project aims to capitalize on existing findings provided by EU-funded projects and other initiatives regarding MPAs and their interactions with economic sectors by developing an integrated framework for recommendations on the necessary practical collaboration between MPAs and these maritime sectors. Project outcomes include the provision of common capitalization baselines, recommendations and policy tools adapted for appropriation by the MedPAN network, public authorities and bodies in charge of MSP, the European Commission, the Barcelona Convention and the various maritime sectors. Finally, the PHAROS4MPA project provided a series of practical recommendations and policy documents to MPA managers, public authorities and bodies in charge of MSP, and businesses on how to prevent or minimize the environmental impact of seven blue economy sectors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","project_program":[],"categoria_progetti":[],"class_list":["post-11405","progetto-dettagli","type-progetto-dettagli","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/progetto-dettagli\/11405","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/progetto-dettagli"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/progetto-dettagli"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=11405"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"project_program","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project_program?post=11405"},{"taxonomy":"categoria_progetti","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.irbim.cnr.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categoria_progetti?post=11405"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
