CNR-IRBIM took part in the initiatives organized to celebrate the 50 anniversary of the establishment of the Coast Guard of San Benedetto del Tronto, aimed at exploring key issues related to the management and protection of marine resources. The conference <i data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"132\">&#8220;Navigating the future: sustainable initiatives for the blue economy from San Benedetto del Tronto to Europe&#8221;<\/i> took place at the Concordia Theatre as part of the <i data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"44\">European Maritime Day <\/i>event. The meeting brought together representatives from institutions, the maritime sector, and the scientific community to discuss innovation, sustainability, and the development of coastal communities.   <\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">Among the speakers at the conference was the <strong>Director<\/strong> of CNR-IRBIM, Gian Marco Luna. The Institute&#8217;s presence highlights the ongoing collaboration with the <strong>Coast Guard a<\/strong>nd the strategic synergy built with local authorities and stakeholders. This cooperation aims to combine scientific research on marine heritage with monitoring, environmental protection, and support for the <strong>sustainable<\/strong> development of <strong>fisheries<\/strong> and the local<strong> blue economy<\/strong>. The celebrations continued on October 2nd with the official military ceremony, operational demonstrations at sea, and the inauguration of a historical photographic exhibition dedicated to the evolution of the port and the maritime sector of San Benedetto.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1st October 2026.
