The mechanical workshop is involved in the construction, testing and commissioning of scientific equipment for biological and oceanographic sampling in response to specific needs highlighted by the various research projects.
\nActivities performed:
\n– design using AutoCAD;
\n– creation of fixed or mobile structures (mooring, benthic chambers; landers, correr buckets and boxes, frames for CTD etc)
\n– carpentry and machining of metals, alloys, wood, and plastics with multi-purpose machines such as: lathes, milling machines, drill presses, planers, cutting machines, and welding machines;
\n– maintenance of scientific equipment and instrumentation;
