I studied Environmental Science at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and Marine Biology at the Polytechnic University of Marche. For my thesis project, I carried out a survey on the state of the Squalus acanthias stock in GSA 17, conducting an assessment using a data-poor model and an analysis of ecological knowledge by interviewing fishermen. In addition, I participated in the Solemon survey in 2022, boarding on the research vessel ‘Dallaporta’ and in 2023 in the laboratory. During this campaign, I conducted analyses on biological parameters, such as taxonomic identification, length and weight measurements, otolith extraction and determination of the maturity stage of commercial target and non-target species, as well as on discarding. In 2023, I did my curricular internship at CNR IRBIM in Ancona, in the microbial ecology laboratory, studying the marine microbiome through traditional methods and molecular approaches. These methods made it possible to analyse the microbial communities associated with different tissues of marine organisms and environmental samples, such as water and sediments. Currently, I have obtained a scholarship at the CNR IRBIM in Ancona with the following subject: data collection, management and processing service in the fisheries, aquaculture and fish processing industry.
